The hotel was built in 1897 as a fish market within the Viktualienmarkt. The current dining hall of the hotel was originally a market hall: hand-crafted doorways, various frescoes and the marble encased walls are reminiscent of the time when fish was sold here.
Area information
The hotel is located in Munich's pedestrian area, next to the Viktualienmarkt. It takes just a one-minute walk to reach the town hall or the nearest underground station. All the sights of Munich and Bavaria can be reached either on foot or by rail.
