The area is ideal for short or long walks, such as to the museum of local history or the Kulturscheune in Oberkleinich. Forests, hills and valleys around Kleinich can be explored easily via the well-signposted hiking paths. Near Idar-Oberstein you can visit the famous gemstone museum as well as the semi-precious stones mine at Steinkaulenberg.
